Upon arrival at the inn, you will be received by friendly staff who will vividly describe Slovenian dishes from our menu. Good homemade soups, meat and venison dishes, steaks and even offal are just some of our special dishes, which you simply will not be able to resist. For all lovers of gourmet stews we have a special offer that you simply cannot refuse: Veal stew “Shepherd’s style”, “Baklca”, “Tržiške Bržole” (lamb stew known for Tržič), venison goulash are all extremely popular dishes. Since we are based on the principle of respecting different tastes, we prepare both delicious vegetarian and gluten-free dishes. A buckwheat omelet with cranberries and other homemade desserts will ensure a perfect dance of the different aromas.
The modern ambience conjures up coziness and warmth. In a room for up to 35 people you can celebrate unforgettable celebrations such as birthdays and anniversaries. If you want to have fun until the early morning hours, you can also rent our picnic area with a log cabin. The picnic area is right next to the guesthouse on the edge of the forest and offers intimacy and the opportunity to extend the celebration with music until late into the night.

10 Years of Tradition
Starting a guesthouse with a restaurant was anything but easy. The professional chef and young entrepreneur Damjan Štefe and his team took over what was then the old inn in September 2009, when most people in this part of Europe were rather cautious due to the economic crisis.
You could say that we literally “started over”. We were faced with a lengthy process, but we always had our goal to put “Karavla 297” on the culinary map of Slovenia.
We made an effort to prepare a range of dishes that corresponded to our geographic area. With great commitment, effort and joy in creating culinary masterpieces, we have mastered all challenges so far.
Years go by and so today we can look back on more than 10 years of tradition and are proud to have a base of regulars and satisfied customers and that a larger number of foreign guests and tourists stop by for lunch or refreshments.
